Day 2 continued

This was today’s lunch at one of the rest stops. Fresh crusty bread and Spanish ham with a coke for 4.50 euro. This is Spanish fast food.

Stopped in a tiny chapel that was built by the knights templar around 780. There was a very old blind man stamping our pilgrim documents. Incredible.

Here’s the church in Lestido, where I’m spending the night. The front is a cemetery for pilgrims who died on the journey back in the day. (Don’t worry, Maryann) Also a photo of downtown Lestido.

And here’s a typical view along the way. It’s very hilly. And beautiful.

  2. Enjoy the beautiful views and the Spanish fast food. It is very reasonably priced. I hope you have no plans to join those pilgrims in front of the chapel. However I do believe all your life insurance premiums are all paid!!! 😜 Enjoy your journey tomorrow.

  5. That crusty bread looks amazing! And watch out for any "lingering pilgrims" who may not be resting in peace. Just kidding...
